1940s Vintage Bridal

Here’s an amazing silk chiffon coral cocktail dress from the late 1940’s. This is a perfect example of a garment post World War II when bright colors and rich fabrics like silk chiffon came back into vogue. There are so many wonderful design elements in this dress. It’s all about pleating. The pleating is so flattering set on diagonal lines and balanced out by a vertical strip of glass beads which too creates height and length.
