1970s Long Dresses

This is a true prairie-revival dress, the signature look of Jessica Mclintock’s Gunne Sax line. The fabric is 65% polyester/35% cotton, the lace is 100% polyester, and the ribbon is 100% rayon.  This gown has a square neckline with a V-shaped lace inset. A lace ruffle extends from the shoulder. The sleeves have a sheer lace panel running from shoulder to cuff, ending in scalloped lace trim. The waistline is pleated and has a tie back. Details on the skirt include scalloped lace trim and a pleated hemline. Garment also has a nylon zipper and acetate lining. 

This is a gorgeous vintage velvet dress, straight out of the 1970s. This piece features a fun and groovy paisley patterned velvet that will be sure to keep you warm when you are in the mood for a dress in those chilly months of the year.  It is difficult to find a dress that is warm enough for winter and light enough for spring, but this is that dress!  Wear some boots and a jean jacket and this dress becomes instantly comfortably casual.  Wear it will some funky heels and a dressy coat and you are ready to paint the town red!  That’s the skinny on this piece.  This dress is perfect for that upcoming 70’s party, but also modern enough for everyday wear.  The bow is not sewn on, but instead is pinned on.
