Here you are Gals, unusual and a collector’s treasure. This original 1940’s black crepe silver studded cocktail dress is elegantly edgy. The oblivious silver studding makes this in and of itself an unusual piece now adds the elements of design and you’ll be wowed.
From the top, the collar is jewel styled which then gives way to a keyhole neckline. Shown here the keyhole is closed with a hook and eye. It could be worn open. The bust is double darted. The sleeves are between a cap and short sleeve. The fit is loose fitted giving the fabric an elegant drape. This dress is about the draping and here it all comes into play. This fitted waist drops into a semi circle at the stomach and from the seam of the semi circle begins the pleating. These pleats extend from the hip all the way around the front. It creates a soft tulip effect allowing the hand of the fabric to move. Perfect for the dance floor. There is a metal side zipper.
